Knowing When To Quit

First of all, thank you to everyone who has joined with us in this daily experiment, your votes and commitment have been crucial to truly giving our best effort and seeing where it takes us. We’ve decided to discontinue the effort to win the grants in the RefreshEverything.com contest.
We’ve had about 30-40 consistent voters each day, though we thought we would have 100-300 (the number of people who signed up on our daily mailing list). Our 30-40 voter base is simply not enough to get us into the top ten for the contest we entered. Out of respect for everyone’s time, we’ve decided to stop the daily emails.

The vision for RefreshTheNorthside.com is not dead however. The email lists will remain intact with the goal of supporting other northside related online projects with our voter base. Hopefully, more of our voter base can be mobilized for one-time vote contest, rather then the daily drain of everyday voting.

The projects we’ve been supporting, the 15th Ave Garden and the Northside Bike Project, will live on and you can support them individually with your time and resources. We hope to find other opportunities to support these and other northside projects in the future. Again, thank you for your time.
